Resident Attention Differs Us from other Care Facilities
We closely monitor our Residents in all facets of their well-being, which includes skin disorders, appetite, hydration, fall risk ambulation, socialization, and emotional disposition.
In sharp contrast to most other Home Care Facilities, our Residents spend their waking hours in the common areas of the home, not in their bedrooms. We feel that bedrooms are for sleeping, not living.
Most Care Homes have 2 live in Staff which works 24/7 with no awake staff at night, we do not. Our Staff is scheduled in eight-hour shifts which helps to ensure their readiness to meet all challenges and fulfill the duties of their shift. While the turn-over rate is high in the Home Care industry, over half of our Staff have been with us at least 3 years.
The difference between our Care Home and other facilities is the intimacy of our environment, in a home-like setting, and more importantly, the daily program of activities for our Residents. We will work closely with all Resident’s primary care doctors to minimize chemical restraints and instead utilize individual appropriate activities to avoid chemical restraints.
We feel that the best possible quality of life cannot be achieved by drugging our elders and instead provide love, attention, and pampering of individual needs; although, we understand that certainly in some instances, it is necessary for a proper quality of life.
